Role as an SEMH Teaching Assistant

  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs in class and during intervention sessions

  • Working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals
  • Monitoring progress and providing feedback to inform planning and support
  • Committing to full involvement in school life and ongoing CPD

  • A graduate Teaching Assistant with a deep interest in SEMH, SEND, or psychology
  • Genuine empathy, resilience, and a patient, calm manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience with vulnerable children is a plus, but not essential
