£180 – £230 per day | Full-time, Permanent
St. Mary’s High School in Greenwich is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming science department. What You’ll Be Doing:
You will support the delivery of high-quality science lessons, with a particular focus on Chemistry. Working closely with teachers and school leaders, you will assist in both teaching and learning activities, including preparing materials, supporting practical experiments, and working one-to-one or in small groups with pupils. Your role will be integral in promoting engagement and curiosity in science, while helping to raise attainment across the department.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in Chemistry or a related science subject
- Experience working with secondary school pupils, preferably within a school setting
- A strong understanding of the UK science curriculum
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- A proactive and flexible approach with a commitment to high standards
