What You’ll Be Doing
As a Chemistry Teaching Assistant, you will support teaching and learning in Key Stage 1 science lessons, working closely with both students and teaching staff. You will assist in preparing materials and resources for practical experiments, provide targeted one-to-one or small group support, and help promote a safe and engaging learning environment. You may also contribute to whole-school science initiatives and develop your classroom skills under the guidance of qualified teaching staff. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers or those looking to build experience in science education.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a science graduate or experienced TA with a strong interest in chemistry and a desire to work in education. You are organised, proactive, and confident communicating with students at different levels of attainment. A positive attitude, good subject knowledge, and the ability to work well in a team are essential. Some classroom or lab experience would be beneficial, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
