What You’ll Be Doing
As a Chemistry Teaching Assistant, you will support the subject lead and class teachers to deliver engaging and effective lessons in Chemistry. You will assist in preparing teaching materials, working with small groups or selected students in class, and ensuring a safe and productive laboratory environment. You will also be involved in assessment support, science-related enrichment activities, and collaborative planning. For the right candidate, there may be opportunities to take on additional teaching and learning responsibilities within the faculty.
Ideal Candidate
- A degree in Chemistry or a closely related field
- Previous experience working with secondary school pupils is desirable
- A genuine interest in education and supporting young people to reach their potential
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, enthusiastic approach to classroom support and collaborative teaching
