What You’ll Be Doing
You will play a key role in helping students navigate the challenges of sixth form life. As a Graduate Mentor, you’ll provide targeted academic and pastoral support, working closely with students who may need additional motivation or guidance. You’ll assist with study techniques, organisation, goal-setting and confidence building, and liaise with teaching staff to ensure students stay on track. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain first-hand experience in an education setting, particularly if you’re considering teacher training in the future.
Ideal Candidate
- A recent university graduate in any discipline
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, empathetic and reliable with a proactive attitude
- A genuine interest in supporting student growth and achievement
