We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join Bright Future High, a thriving secondary school located in the heart of Hackney, East London. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, our school is committed to academic excellence, pastoral care, and preparing young people for future success. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire and mentor students across Key Stage 4 and 5 in a supportive school community. What You’ll Be Doing
- Planning and delivering engaging and challenging science lessons across KS4 and KS5
- Supporting students of varying ability levels to achieve their academic goals
- Mentoring and coaching students to build confidence and maximise progress
- Monitoring student progress, providing insightful feedback, and contributing to reports
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across departments to enhance the curriculum
- Contributing to the wider life of the school through enrichment or extracurricular activities
Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised in the UK
- Strong subject knowledge in Science, ideally with experience at KS4 and KS5
- A commitment to high standards, excellent classroom practice and student achievement
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to contribute beyond the classroom
- Suitable for both newly qualified and experienced teachers
