What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing targeted, 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Assisting the class teacher in creating a calm and supportive learning environment
- Monitoring pupil progress, promoting emotional wellbeing, and implementing positive behaviour strategies
- Working closely with the SENCO, external agencies and parents to deliver tailored interventions
- Encouraging pupils to develop resilience and positive social interactions as part of their learning journey
Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with primary-aged children with SEMH needs is highly desirable
- A calm, patient and empathetic approach to supporting children
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with pupils, staff and families
- Passionate about inclusive education and committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
- A relevant qualification in education or child development is beneficial but not essential
