What You’ll Be Doing:
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children across Key Stage 1 who require additional support due to social, emotional or mental health challenges. You will collaborate with class teachers and SEND professionals to deliver targeted interventions, implement behaviour strategies, and promote a calm and positive learning environment. This role will involve both one-to-one support and small group work, with regular opportunities to liaise with parents and external professionals to support each child's progress.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a confident and empathetic individual with previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a school setting. You will be proactive, patient, and equipped with practical behaviour management strategies. A background in education, youth work, or psychology would be advantageous. Most importantly, you will have a genuine desire to help children succeed and thrive both emotionally and academically.
