What You’ll Be Doing
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to pupils across Key Stage 1, helping them engage with learning while managing emotional and behavioural barriers. Working closely with the SENCO, class teachers and external agencies, you will contribute to personal development plans and create a positive, structured environment that empowers young learners to succeed both academically and socially.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a patient, resilient and compassionate individual with prior experience supporting children with SEMH needs in a school or care setting. A strong understanding of emotional regulation strategies, as well as a calm and consistent approach, are key to this role. Experience working with Key Stage 1 children is highly desirable, along with a relevant qualification or training in SEN support.
