Behaviour Mentor / Pastoral Support | MSc SOAS | Safeguarding & Advocacy Specialist

Aoife is a highly driven and compassionate professional with a strong background in safeguarding, advocacy and community engagement. With specialist training as a Young Person’s Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (YPVA), she brings extensive experience supporting vulnerable young people facing complex social, emotional and mental health challenges.

Aoife is now seeking a Behaviour Mentor or pastoral role within education, where she can apply her expertise to support student wellbeing, engagement and long-term outcomes.

  • MSc Politics of Conflicts, Rights and Justice, Upper Second Class Honours: SOAS University of London
  • BA Criminology, First Class Honours: University College Cork

  • Qualified Young Person’s Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (Level 3), with extensive safeguarding and risk assessment expertise.
  • Delivered frontline advocacy and support for vulnerable individuals and families experiencing trauma and abuse.
  • Led national campaigns and authored policy reports, demonstrating strong communication, organisation and strategic thinking.
  • Designed and delivered workshops and interventions for diverse groups, including young people and marginalised communities.
  • Extensive experience de-escalating challenging situations and building trust with individuals facing complex needs.
  • Worked collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring coordinated and effective support for service users.
