Karlisa is an enthusiastic and committed trainee teacher with a powerful blend of academic insight, behaviour expertise and North London roots that make her an outstanding ECT candidate. Currently completing her PGCE, she is eager to secure a permanent role from September 2026 - ideally in KS2, though she is open to KS1, where she can continue to inspire, support and challenge young learners.
Karlisa’s teaching journey is shaped by rich, hands-on experience across mainstream primary, SEN and secondary alternative provision. Her time supporting pupils with complex behavioural and learning needs has equipped her with excellent behaviour management strategies and a calm, consistent classroom presence. As a practitioner, she is organised, reflective and deeply committed to inclusive, child-centred education. With a confident, compassionate approach and strong cultural understanding, Karlisa is ready to make a lasting contribution to a vibrant school community.

- LLB (Hons) Law: University of Bradford - Upper Second Class

Experience Summary
Karlisa brings a broad and impressive range of classroom experience, spanning KS1, KS2 and secondary education. She has consistently demonstrated initiative, empathy and adaptability in supporting a diverse range of pupils, including those with SEN, EAL and behavioural needs.
- Delivered full class teaching across KS1 and KS2 during her PGCE placement, including English, phonics, maths, science, geography, MFL and PE, with a strong focus on differentiated planning for mixed-ability groups.
- Developed effective behaviour management through her work in a secondary alternative provision, supporting learners with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
- Provided one-to-one literacy and numeracy support for EAL and SEN pupils in both primary and secondary settings, including guided reading and GCSE preparation.
- Built strong, trust-based relationships with pupils and families, regularly supporting learning beyond the classroom and contributing to a positive school culture.
