Experience Summary

Maisie has extensive experience supporting children and families affected by trauma, especially those in foster, adoptive, or kinship care. Her work spans therapeutic, forensic, and safeguarding settings, equipping her with the empathy, critical thinking, and communication skills essential for pastoral and inclusion-focused roles in schools.

  • Currently works as an Assistant Psychologist, administering psychometrics, interviewing caregivers, and co-authoring detailed reports on the impacts of trauma in looked-after children.
  • Delivered trauma-informed training to education and care professionals, including on harmful sexualised behaviours and emotional regulation strategies.
  • Worked as an Assistant Forensic Psychologist supporting court-involved cases; provided psychometric assessments and engaged directly with emotionally complex case material.
  • Gained two years’ experience with a domestic abuse counselling service, working with both victims and perpetrators; conducted 1:1 sessions with low-risk perpetrators, carried out risk assessments, and supported trauma recovery.
  • Demonstrated strong organisational skills by updating policy documents and managing confidential case information, including access to police systems and safeguarding databases.
