Octavia is a dedicated and creative Drama ECT currently completing her PGCE at the University of York. With a strong foundation in both practical and theoretical drama, she brings an engaging and structured approach to teaching across KS3–KS5.
Passionate about fostering confidence, creativity and self-expression, Octavia is now seeking her first teaching role where she can contribute to a vibrant performing arts department and support students’ academic and personal development.

Experience Summary
Octavia brings a strong combination of teaching practice and creative industry experience, enabling her to deliver dynamic, student-centred Drama lessons. Her training has equipped her with the skills to plan effectively, manage behaviour and support a wide range of learners.
- Currently completing PGCE placements, teaching Drama across KS3–KS5 and delivering structured, curriculum-aligned lessons.
- Designed schemes of work including Stage Combat and Technical Theatre, demonstrating creativity and curriculum awareness.
- Uses questioning, feedback and performance-based assessment to support student progress and engagement.
- Builds inclusive classroom environments where students feel confident to take creative risks and develop their skills.
- Experienced in supporting SEN learners through adaptive teaching strategies.
- Strong background in film and production, directing large-scale projects and managing teams, enhancing classroom delivery with real-world creative insight.
