Aspiring SEN Teaching Assistant with a Psychology First
Rebecca is a warm, thoughtful, and dedicated Psychology graduate with a clear passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs, particularly those with autism. With extensive hands-on experience across mainstream and specialist settings, she brings a well-rounded blend of patience, energy, and empathy to every role.
From one-to-one support at a disability charity to nearly a decade assisting in a primary art club, Rebecca thrives in environments where she can help children feel safe, seen, and empowered. She is now looking for a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role from September where she can make a real difference ahead of future training as an Educational Psychologist.

- Provided one-to-one support for children and young people with physical and learning disabilities (ages 3–19) at CHIPS, promoting child-led play and ensuring wellbeing at all times.
- Supported primary-aged pupils in a long-standing assistant role at a school art club, fostering creativity, confidence, and positive behaviour across group and individual activities.
- Represented peers as a Student Rep at Goldsmiths, advocating for student wellbeing, initiating improvements in communication, and developing excellent organisation and listening skills.
- Conducted academic research as an Assistant in Dr Penton’s Lab, refining her attention to detail and communication when summarising psychological articles and liaising with researchers.
