Rebecca is a passionate and proactive Psychology undergraduate at the University of Warwick with a strong commitment to supporting young people’s social, emotional and behavioural development. Experience Summary
Rebecca brings a strong blend of mentoring, SEN support and early years experience, giving her a well-rounded understanding of supporting young people across different stages of development.
- Experience as a Youth Mentor with City Year, delivering one-to-one mentoring and in-class support for secondary students with SEN including autism, ADHD and language needs.
- Skilled in implementing behaviour strategies, setting SMART targets and supporting emotional regulation in challenging situations.
- Current volunteer with Shout, providing crisis support through active listening and de-escalation techniques while following safeguarding procedures.
- Experience as an Activity Instructor, planning and delivering engaging sessions while maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
- Background in nursery settings, supporting early development, routines and play-based learning across a range of age groups.
- Strong collaboration with SEN teams, contributing to progress reviews and tailored support strategies.
