What You’ll Be Doing:
- Teaching a class of engaged, enthusiastic Year 1 pupils
- Delivering structured, playful and creative phonics and literacy lessons
- Promoting curiosity, kindness and independence in learners
- Collaborating with other Year 1 Teachers and the KS1 team
- Using formative assessment to adapt and personalise learning
Ideal Year 1 Teacher For this Islington School:
- UK-qualified Year 1 Teacher (PGCE + QTS essential)
- Strong understanding of EYFS–KS1 transition
- Experience with Read Write Inc or other phonics schemes preferred
- Organised, nurturing and team-oriented
- Committed to making a long-term contribution to a caring school community
