Your Role as a Year 2 Teacher
As part of the Key Stage 1 phase, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the Year 2 curriculum
- Support early literacy and numeracy development through targeted, effective teaching
- Track and assess pupil progress, adapting lessons to meet individual needs
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom climate that nurtures each child’s potential
- Collaborate with your year group colleagues for moderation, planning, and curriculum development
