Academic Mentor – Secondary School in Tower Hamlets

 

Are you a motivated graduate eager to support secondary school students in achieving their full academic potential? A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Tower Hamlets (E1) is seeking a full-time Academic Mentor to provide targeted support and guidance to students across key subjects.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Psychology graduate or someone with a related degree who wants to make a tangible difference in students’ learning, confidence, and study skills. You’ll be working closely with teachers and pupils to enhance academic outcomes and encourage engagement in a supportive school environment.

  • Daily pay rate from £95 to £110 depending on experience
  • Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups to improve academic performance

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing individual and small-group academic support across key subjects
  • Helping students develop study skills, revision techniques, and confidence
  • Encouraging positive learning habits and engagement in lessons
  • Assisting teachers with intervention strategies and tracking student progress
  • Supporting students with SEN or additional learning needs as needed

Ideal Academic Mentor for this Tower Hamlets School:

  • Psychology graduate, or someone with a similar degree and career aspirations
  • Patient, encouraging, and passionate about helping students succeed
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience mentoring or tutoring young people desirable
