What You'll Be Doing:
- Delivering 1:1 and small group support for students using PECS, Makaton, and BSL
- Supporting communication and engagement for students with ASD, hearing loss, or speech difficulties
- Adapting classwork and facilitating inclusive access to learning
- Working closely with the SENCO, therapists, and class teachers
- Promoting independence, emotional regulation, and academic progress
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant For this Camden School:
- Confident user of PECS, Makaton, and BSL (minimum BSL Level 2 preferred)
- Previous experience supporting students with communication needs
- Patient, flexible, and collaborative in your support style
- Skilled in building trust with students who may be non-verbal or have high needs
