What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with EHCPs or identified SEN
- Supporting pupils with needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language, and SEMH
- Assisting in the delivery of tailored interventions and learning strategies
- Encouraging positive behaviour, communication, and emotional regulation
- Working alongside class teachers and the SENCO to deliver inclusive learning
- Creating a calm, structured and safe learning environment
Ideal Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant For This Havering School:
- A graduate with strong academics and a clear interest in SEN and inclusive education
- Calm, empathetic, and patient when supporting children with diverse needs
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, supportive mindset
- Previous experience with SEN (schools, tutoring, care, or voluntary work) is a plus
