What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assisting the class teacher with daily routines and lesson delivery in Key Stage 1
  • Supporting pupils in phonics, early maths, reading, and language development
  • Leading small group interventions and providing 1:1 academic or emotional support
  • Encouraging confidence, curiosity, and creativity in young learners
  • Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive learning habits
  • Helping with classroom setup, displays, and enrichment activities

Ideal Graduate Teaching Assistant for This Southwark School:

  • A graduate with a 2:1 or above, ideally in education, psychology, or a related field
  • Passionate about early years education and child development
  • Warm, patient, and confident working with children aged 5–7
  • Previous experience in a school, tutoring, childcare, or voluntary work is desirable
