What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting the class teacher across the KS2 curriculum (Years 3–6)
  • Delivering small-group sessions and 1:1 interventions in literacy, numeracy and topic work
  • Promoting independent learning, critical thinking and engagement in class
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs to access and enjoy learning
  • Helping to manage classroom routines, behaviour and preparation of resources
  • Contributing to enrichment activities, school displays and extra-curricular support

Ideal KS2 Teaching Assistant For This Havering School:

  • A graduate or experienced teaching assistant with a passion for education
  • Friendly, proactive and confident when working with upper primary pupils
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, encouraging presence in the classroom
  • Previous experience in schools, tutoring or working with children is desirable
  • Available full-time from September through July
