What You’ll Be Doing:
- Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6)
- Delivering small-group activities and 1:1 interventions in literacy, numeracy, and topic work
- Helping children build confidence, focus, and independence in the classroom
- Supporting pupils with additional learning needs, including SEN or EAL
- Assisting with classroom organisation, displays, and preparation of resources
- Promoting positive behaviour, pupil engagement, and emotional wellbeing
Ideal KS2 Teaching Assistant For This Newham School:
- Graduate or experienced teaching assistant with a passion for education
- Confident communicator with a calm, encouraging presence
- Friendly, organised, and proactive in supporting a busy classroom
- Any previous experience with children (tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, childcare) is a plus
