Learning Mentor – KS4 Role | Supportive Newham Secondary School

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing 1:1 and small group mentoring to KS4 pupils
- Supporting academic motivation, attendance and emotional wellbeing
- Helping students prepare for GCSEs and develop study strategies
- Working closely with teaching, SEN and pastoral teams to implement personalised support plans
- Acting as a trusted adult and positive role model within the school community
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining records and contributing to safeguarding practices
Ideal Learning Mentor For This Newham School:
- Graduate or experienced mentor with a strong interest in supporting young people
- Empathetic, patient, and confident in building relationships with teenagers
- Excellent communicator who can motivate and guide students
- Experience in education, mentoring, tutoring or youth work is desirable
- Committed to full-time, term-time hours from September through July
