What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing 1:1 classroom support to a pupil with SEN
  • Supporting learning across the curriculum, especially in literacy and numeracy
  • Helping to manage behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Implementing personalised learning strategies under guidance from the SENCo
  • Collaborating with staff and external professionals to review progress
  • Promoting a positive and engaging learning environment

Ideal SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant For this Newham School:

  • A recent graduate with a passion for SEN or child development
  • Prior experience supporting children with additional needs (preferred)
  • Calm, patient, and empathetic in challenging situations
  • Proactive and able to work independently when required
