Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant
You will be based in the school's nurture room, supporting a small group of seven children with SEMH needs. The focus is on emotional regulation, confidence building, and positive behaviour reinforcement in a structured, safe setting.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Working closely with children with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Supporting their emotional and social development through therapeutic and academic activities
- Collaborating with the SENCO and pastoral team to deliver tailored interventions
- Encouraging pupil participation and fostering a sense of belonging and trust
- Reporting on progress and supporting classroom transitions where necessary

- A psychology or related graduate (ideally with aspirations in educational or clinical psychology)
- Someone with genuine enthusiasm and resilience to work with children with SEN
- Any relevant experience (volunteering, mentoring, etc.) is welcomed but not essential

- Availability to start immediately and commit for the rest of the academic year
