Are you a high-achieving Russell Group graduate looking to inspire the next generation of university-bound students? Do you have a passion for academic excellence, mentoring, and helping sixth formers achieve places at top universities?

This Outstanding secondary school in Tower Hamlets – just a short walk from Shoreditch – is seeking multiple Russell Group Graduate Mentors to join its exceptional sixth form support team from September 2025. This is a full-time opportunity to play a vital role in preparing ambitious KS5 students for A-Level success and applications to elite universities, including Oxbridge and the wider Russell Group.

Your Role as a Russell Group Graduate Mentor

You will support sixth form students in small groups and 1:1 settings, helping them reach their academic targets and prepare compelling applications to competitive universities. Your subject knowledge, university experience, and communication skills will be key in raising aspirations and driving achievement.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting A-Level students with subject-specific revision, study skills, and goal setting
  • Mentoring individuals through the university application process, including personal statements
  • Leading targeted sessions on critical thinking, academic writing, and interview preparation
  • Collaborating with staff to track progress and provide academic coaching
  • Acting as a role model for success and academic ambition

What the School is Looking For:

  • A recent Russell Group graduate with a strong academic record (2:1 or above)
  • A confident communicator who enjoys working with motivated young people
  • Someone enthusiastic about university access and social mobility
  • A mentor who can commit to the full academic year (Sept 2025 – July 2026)
  • Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, or youth programmes is desirable but not essential
