Your Role as a Primary Teaching Assistant – Year 6

In this class-based position, you’ll support a vibrant Year 6 class alongside a dedicated and experienced teacher. Your role will be pivotal in helping pupils achieve their full potential during this key stage of their primary education journey.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting pupils in core subjects, with a focus on SATs preparation and transition to secondary
  • Challenging children appropriately to build resilience, independence, and deeper understanding
  • Assisting with behaviour management, group tasks, and individual interventions
  • Promoting engagement and participation across all activities
  • Contributing to a dynamic, inclusive classroom where all students feel motivated to succeed
