What You’ll Be Doing
As a Chemistry Teaching Assistant, your role will involve supporting lessons from Key Stage 1 onwards, assisting with lesson preparation, and helping students access across the science curriculum. You will provide individual and group support to raise attainment, promote engagement, and develop practical skills in the laboratory. You may also be asked to help with classroom and resource management, assessment tasks, and the organisation of science-based extracurricular activities.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in a science-related subject, preferably chemistry, with a minimum of a 2:1 degree. Prior experience working in a school or tutoring students is advantageous, though not essential. You should possess excellent communication skills, a passion for teaching and learning, and a proactive, flexible attitude when supporting pupils and teachers alike.
