What You’ll Be Doing
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis, helping them to better manage their emotions, develop key learning behaviours and thrive within the classroom. You will work closely with teachers, SENCO and external agencies to ensure consistent care and educational support. Your role will also involve creating a calm and structured environment, delivering tailored interventions and assisting with lesson preparation when required.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a motivated and empathetic individual who has experience working with children with SEMH or related needs. You should have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and build trust with pupils. Previous school-based experience or relevant training in SEN/SEMH is highly desirable, alongside a proactive and flexible attitude.
