What You’ll Be Doing
As a Teaching Assistant at Maplewood Academy, you will be providing in-classroom support to teachers and pupils, helping to facilitate engaging and effective lessons. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with lesson preparation, working one-to-one or in small groups with students, and supporting the wider learning environment. You’ll also help maintain a safe and positive classroom for all learners.
Ideal Candidate
- A passion for education and a genuine desire to work with secondary-aged students
- Previous experience in a classroom or similar educational setting is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, proactive and committed to students’ success
- A willingness to learn and develop within the role
